Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

Welcome to the new school year and a new school building!

This website will be the easiest way to find out information about your class.  You can check here to find out recent assignments, tonight's homework, upcoming deadlines, and other useful information.  In fact, you should check this site before you ask me about those things.  If you ask me something that is already posted here, I will reply curtly, "Check the website, please."

On the right side of the page, you should see the Twitter feed for the class.  This is where you can find daily announcements about assignments, as well as any links that I want you to visit during class.

At the top of the page, you can find links to the various class pages.  Each class has its own page where you can access your syllabus and other useful information.

Please do not hesitate to email me at if you have any difficulties.

Vacation Hopping

It's a good thing we have our classroom habits well-established now, because it can get chaotic hopping from one vacation to the next!  Keep your eye on the ball, your nose to the grindstone, and all those other work metaphors!

Social Media Shakespeare

Two reminders

Apropos of nothing, two reminders (posted on Twitter but repeated here):

  • You can't plagiarize your homework or classwork.  To help prevent this, you will be submitting both documents to TurnItIn at the end of the quarter.  Academic dishonesty will be receive an automatic (and retroactive) zero and will be reported to guidance and the administration.
  • On snow days, you must check the class Twitter to see your assignment.  By noon, one will be posted.

Season's greetings!

As we enter into the winter holiday season, we go from Veteran's Day to Thanksgiving to winter break (and its associated religious holidays).  Don't let yourself fall into the habit of just waiting out the days... don't wish away your life.  Live it right now, and use it to do things that you want!
